Strategic Designs Ltd., is the market leader in
creating accurate and in-depth horse and greyhound racing strategy
games. Responsible for the 'Starters Orders' series our games have
been acclaimed by the racing press for their realism and accurate
reflection of the sports.
Founded in 2003 and based near Manchester in the UK we currently
have a number of products on the market. Our first product, 'John
McCriricks Starters Orders' (endorsed by the famous racing celebrity),
was released online in 2003 and later published by Focus Multimedia
and is still available in-store. Starters Orders 2 (released November
2005) can be purchased online via www.startersorders.com.
Starters Orders 3 has now been released as
of May 2008. Boasting many firsts for a horse racing game Starters
Orders 3 includes full realistic game modes for the UK, US and Australia
including all the major racecourses, feature races, trainers and
jockeys and professional race commentary. The UK schedule will also
include jumps racing with famous races such as the Aintree Grand
National, The Cheltenham Gold Cup and the Champion hurdle (along
with hundreds of others). Already hailed as the most realistic horse
racing game available, Starters Orders 3 will take the genre to
new heights.
Greyhound Manager was released in March 07 and contains many 'firsts'
for a greyhound management sim including realistic races, breeding,
betting and even realistic hurdle races! It can be purchased online

Strategic Designs Ltd., was founded by 'veteran' horse racing
sim developer, Mark Loveday, who has worked on sports sims for a
number of years and was responsible for the 'Stable Masters' series
of racing sims in the 90's.
